the kittens have flown the nest, but as from time to time we receive photos of them in their new homes, we will keep updating their own pages.
and then there was one! Chiquita naps in the sunshine with Merry, blissfully aware that she's now the only spoiled rotten kitten in Persephonies cattery!
Week fourteen finally arrives and the kitten's new owners begin arriving to take their chosen ones to start their new lives. The individual pages have been updated, but here some pix of the kittens last days with us!
"we're getting too big for this basket"
Week 12: As the sun shines and the days lengthen, the tribe enjoy restricted outings into the cattery. See this week's photos of the kittens enjoying themselves!
Now in their eighth week, the kittens had their second vistors, Kirsten & Tom (Hector - Wesley's Mum & Dad) to choose their 'Izzy'. See the kittens' pages for the pix
The kittens are now approaching their seventh week and are quite comfortable downstairs in the evening, though their day is still spent in the 'kittening room'. Liz has to be careful each time she goes in as they hear her coming and attempt a mass breakout if she's not alert.
We've updated the kittens individual pages with pix, but here is one of Cally taking a break from the kittens
With the kittens over 5 weeks old their evening excursions downstairs are becoming longer. They no longer spit and hiss at the dogs and are beginning to take an interest in their surroundings.
During this week David and Sue came to choose their kitten. They chose Taurus and have named him Truta. He is now styling beautiful pink nail varnish on one set of claws so we can easily identify him. See his page for pix of David & Sue's visit
Also, Elwing is starting to help out with supervision.
Here are the communal pix from week 5
Now the kittens are over 4 weeks old, we have started to introduce them to the rest of our family. After a few nervous moments, they start to explore the living room while the other cats look on! Some are still a tad fearful of the dogs, while the others get a little spitting practice in! It won't be long though, before they start to befriend them and use them as extra large climbing frames. Poor doggies!

Here's some kitten pix from week 2
During the afternoon of Thursday February 17th, Cally came to inform Liz that her kittens were soon to arrive. Liz was sat reading, Cally was seeking attention from Jake, wanting to be washed; from Liz wanting to be cuddled. Within half an hour, it became clear the kittens were on their way.
Liz took Cally up to her kittening pen at 3pm, the next 2 hours saw 5 healthy kittens born; 3 girls and 2 boys.
We have named them: Aries and Taurus are the boys; Gemini, Libra and Virgo are the girls
Here are the initial pix, the kittens are barely 2 hours old.
